Went to Tiong Bahru Bakery with my sisters. I tried to not Google about the place before I went. I was expecting some quaint corner coffee shop in Tiong Bahru serving traditional bread and coffee, which I would have loved too, but boy was I wrong.

Tired of places that tries too hard to be cool, Antoinette is most guilty (been there once, never again). Tiong Bahru Bakery managed to capture a distinctive character that’s part local and part international and I can’t recall anywhere else that feels like this. Non-pretentious and refreshing, and I can’t rave it enough.
